Fraser started SYSTYM to help business, government and other agencies implement strategies and programs that accelerate climate action and the transition to a sustainable, prosperous future.

Fraser understands how difficult it can be to create meaningful change when trying to balance competing priorities and when short on time and other critical resources.  Fraser started SYSTYM to support professionals with the experience, skills and horsepower needed to accelerate progress, build momentum and get "unstuck" - all to deliver lasting, positive impact,

Fraser completed a 20 year career as a Commander, marine engineer in the Royal Canadian Navy and shifted his focus to city-building and leading innovative environmental sustainability and change programs at the City of Victoria (British Columbia, Canada).  As their Engineer and Chief Sustainability Officer, Fraser delivered new programs across transportation, public works and engineering, including their -  All Ages and Abilities cycling network, Climate Leadership Plan, Zero Waste and Mobility Strategies, fleet renewal programs, stormwater utility, Accessibility Plan, Single Use Bag-ban legislation and other important programs.

In 2020, Fraser left the City for Tofino, BC, and took up their engineering role to focus on small-town community development on the beautiful west coast of Vancouver Island.  During his time with Tofino, he spearheaded programs in organizational change, Wastewater Treatment Plant implementation, public works operations (utility, road, facility and solid waste), visitor pay-parking design/implementation and watershed management; all while leading the Department through the daily challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
